01Edu named partner in NextEra Egypt’s $41.2 million investment

Dubai-based 01Edu, a digital education and talent company, has been named a key partner in NextEra Egypt’s $41.2 million investment. Dedicated to reshaping the education system with a focus on skills that drive the digital economy, this partnership aims to equip students with the future skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving job market.

This strategic public-private partnership between 01Edu and NextEra is part of a government transformative collaboration, leveraging on the strengths of both the private and public sectors to revolutionise education. NextEra Egypt’s investment is testament towards its dedication to develop, educate and integrate Egypt’s education system with advanced AI technologies, overhauling the current traditional curricula and providing personalised, cutting-edge learning experiences to prepare students for the future workforce and its demands of the digital age.

01Edu was hand-selected as it prioritises a skills-based approach to education, aligning learning outcomes with the needs of employers in the digital economy. Together, the collective intelligence centres of 01Edu and NextEra Egypt offer a gamified, interactive learning environment where students engage in real-world problem-solving and collaborative challenges. This innovative approach not only makes learning engaging but also enhances the acquisition of critical digital skills.

Walid Tarabih, GM of 01Edu Middle East, said: It was an honour to be selected as a key partner for NextEra Egypt’s investment, creating a powerful force driving scalable and impactful change. Together, we aim to create a network of skilled professionals capable of leading Egypt’s digital transformation and contributing to a sustainable, knowledge-based economy.

It is also a privilege to showcase and represent the incredible business models we have here in the Middle East and the significance they can have on a global scale, utilising the talent and resources we have in the region to help other countries reach their visions and goals.

This skills-based education model is key to positioning Egypt as a leader in the digital economy. Through developing future-ready talent, 01Edu and NextEra are not just enhancing individual career prospects but also contributing significantly to the broader economic development of Egypt, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 sustainable development strategy. The strategy outlines the country’s goals to develop a high-quality education and training system available to all, without discrimination within an efficient, just, sustainable and flexible institutional framework.

Further to this, 01Edu through their UAE partner, Yaztech, will launch in Q4 an innovative concept with TrueGamers to launch a coding program in the gaming centre of true gamers, where children can learn how to code and play professional e-sport games.

Karim Attiyah, Chairman of Yaztech, commented: 01Edu has vast potential to enhance the skills and knowledge regarding the technology sphere for all ages, from school to the silver surfers of all nationalities. We are a proud UAE partner and look forward to enhancing the nation’s digital fluency.
