Their involvement highlights the synergy between European and Middle Eastern innovation hubs, facilitating market access for Italian technologies.
Italiacamp, dedicated to promoting high-impact projects, will leverage its Dubai Hub to attract over 50 mature tech startups and SMEs to SRTI Park. This partnership focuses on sectors like healthcare, advanced manufacturing, and sustainable mobility, reinforcing Italiacamp’s mission to internationalize Italian enterprises and connect them with global opportunities.
Andersen Italia, an international firm, will bring 30 SMEs to Sharjah, concentrating on waste management, food security, and AI diagnostics. Their participation reflects the growing economic ties between Italy and the UAE, emphasizing the importance of creating supportive environments for innovative businesses.
These collaborations align with the burgeoning bilateral trade between Italy and the UAE, which saw a 26% increase in the first half of 2024. Italy’s thriving startup ecosystem, with over 14,000 active startups and substantial funding, positions it as a key partner for SRTI Park. The agreements will enhance R&D activities through collaborations with American University of Sharjah and University of Sharjah, fostering a robust environment for technological advancement and economic growth in the region.
