Hub71, today announced its third cohort of the year, which selected 19 new startups to join its rapidly growing startup community. The new startups are well spread and are headquartered in nine different countries, specializing in 11 sectors, including AI and Big Data, EdTech, AgriTech and HealthTech.
These sectors accounted for 30% of applications received, reflecting the demand for these technologies in response to the pandemic and to service future digitalized industries. The new cohort also includes 30% of businesses founded by women, marking a growing number of female founders choosing to immerse themselves in Hub71’s diverse and vibrant community.

- DoctorsAE: A doctor discovery platform for healthcare seekers in the UAE that allows users to find the appropriate doctors and contact hospitals and medical care centers for consultations. UAE | HealthTech
- DrOnCall: A platform that addresses the underutilization and undersupply of primary care through the provision of easy-to-book home visits covered by insurance. UAE | HealthTech
- Fanera: A social app for and by football fans to share their favorite moments and connects them with football communities and fans around the world – the TikTok for football. Palestine | Software – Sports
- Mental: A virtual reality collaboration platform that allows companies to simulate the work and training space for anywhere in the world, improving their performance and reducing expenses. UAE | VR/AR
- MYKI: A decentralized password management & authentication solution for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). that provides MSPs with the tools to protect their customers’ digital identities. US | Cyber security
- Producers Market: A producer member value chain ecosystem and software layer connecting the data and stakeholders across value chains to bring new forms of transparency, traceability and efficiency. US | AgriTech
- Proteinea: A platform of insect-based biotechnology. We are using insect larvae as a mini-biofactory, reducing the capital and operational costs of conventional bioreactors. Egypt | BioTech
- The Platform: A precision farming platform that utilizes ground and satellite sensors for optimized irrigation and fertilization. Bahrain | AgriTech
- WeMENA: A B2B wholesale goods marketplace, combining FinTech and eCommerce technology to make wholesale goods trading easier. UAE | FinTech
- WhiteBox HR: A platform that provides predictive insight, bias free, at every stage of the talent lifecycle through machine learning, organization network analysis and people science. UAE | AI & Big Data
- Yanzo: An on-demand concierge over WhatsApp that helps with booking flight tickets, throwing birthday parties, picking items up from the mall, etc. UAE | AI & Big Data

Since its launch in March 2019, Hub71 has grown its startup community to more than 75 global startups benefiting from Hub71’s extensive resources, global reach and community access.
