DIFC Talent Week returns

DIFC Talent Week returns

Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) today hosted the second edition of the DIFC Talent Week, which continues to shape new talent to prepare them for the future of work. Taking place from 7 to 9 February 2023 at the DIFC Innovation Hub, this year’s event is seeing a greater focus on empowering Emirati talent.

DIFC Talent Week introduces Emiratis to founders of successful startups so that they can learn from their experience and encourage them to become tech entrepreneurs. The event also features a unique career fair, live workshops, panel discussions and interactive sessions for students, graduates and young professionals looking to explore opportunities in financial services related firms, and innovation and technology businesses. Attendees have access to job opportunities with top financial institutions and FinTech companies, a sector that is a strong recruiter of young Emiratis.

Attendees can also participate in around 30 workshops across three days with leading organisations, such as Dubai Future District Fund, Mark Williams, Michael Page, Middlesex University Dubai, Robert Walters, Sarwa, Stanley Mac and more. National and multinational companies including Baraka, Commercial Bank of Dubai, DIFC Authority, Dubai Government Human Resources Department, HSBC, Munich Reinsurance, Oliver Wyman, Standard Chartered Bank and Talabat are holding recruitment drives onsite, giving candidates the opportunity to showcase their skills and network directly with potential employers.

Mohammad Alblooshi, Head of DIFC Innovation Hub and FinTech Hive, said “Rapid transformations in technology continue to remain a top priority across sectors, bringing about enormous shifts in the world of work. As the future lies in the hands of the new generation, it is critical to inspire and shape young talent to address the ever-evolving needs of businesses. DIFC, with its unique ecosystem, offers a platform for new talent to engage directly with potential employers through DIFC Talent Week. The second edition also focuses more on empowering Emirati talent, who are the future of the nation and will drive the new economy.”
