Tarjama raises $15 million for expansion of Arabic.AI

UAE-based language solutions provider Tarjama has secured $15 million in Series A funding to accelerate the rollout of its Arabic.AI agentic ecosystem, aimed at enhancing AI-driven business solutions tailored to Arabic-speaking markets.

The funding round was led by Global Ventures, with additional backing from Wamda Capital, TA Ventures, Phaze Ventures, Golden Gate Ventures, and Endeavor Catalyst. This investment will further develop Arabic.AI, addressing the unique linguistic and cultural needs of the region through AI agents optimized for complex business processes.

Founded by Nour Al Hassan in 2009, Tarjama has processed over two billion words across 50 languages and 22 Arabic dialects, building proprietary datasets to support its AI innovations. Its latest offering, Arabic.AI, is powered by Pronoia V2, an Arabic-first large language model (LLM) designed to enhance contextual intelligence, cultural fluency, and task-specific performance—bridging gaps left by global generative AI models.

Tarjama has reported profitability, with revenue growing at a 20% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the past three years. The investment aligns with a broader regional push toward AI-driven solutions, as Middle Eastern startups continue attracting global investors despite economic headwinds.

“We have a vast market opportunity in our grasp; Arabic has been underserved by AI for too long. Our flagship product, Pronoia, changes that—it is far faster, more secure, and cost-effective,” said Nour Al Hassan, founder and CEO of Tarjama.

“We see enterprises struggle with Arabic, but Pronoia transforms day-long tasks into minutes—fundamentally changing how companies operate in Arabic markets,” she added.

Tarjama’s expansion highlights the growing demand for AI-powered language solutions, reinforcing its role in shaping the future of Arabic AI technology.
