Fifth Edition of Continuum Family Business Conference to be held in London

Organised by the Tharawat Family Business Forum, the first edition of the Continuum Family Business Conference took place in 2011. For its fifth edition, the conference will take place in London, bringing together family owned businesses from all over the world. Over the years, Continuum has become a well-known platform to gather and discuss matters at the heart of the family business, explore business opportunities and future trends, and engage in a dialogue across generations. The event includes sessions on family office structures, traditional and future ownership models, and next generation leadership.

To be held in London, United Kingdom, from 19 to 21 August, the three-day annual conference will bring together members of family businesses from the Middle East and North Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America to discuss and share their thoughts and experiences. The agenda features an interactive program of workshops and plenary sessions and an exclusive behind-the-scene excursion to one London’s most interesting and visited venues, the British Museum.

Dr. Hischam El Agamy, Founder and Executive Director, Tharawat Family Business Forum, said: “Continuum has proven time and again that open dialogue and curiosity is an essential ingredient for business success. A forum to share best practice and new ideas, Continuum has become a space for like-minded family business members from all over the world, who are concerned with their family business’s sustainability, capability to innovate and to face the challenges of tomorrow’s business place.”

With a line-up of exceptional family business speakers from Hungary, New Zealand, Switzerland, Egypt, the United States, Italy, Sudan, Morocco, Kuwait, Oman and the United Arab Emirates, the conference has become a truly global meeting place. Over the last five years the conference has been attended by family members from over 130 families across 35 countries.

Sponsored by the Dawood Group, a leading international, family-owned conglomerate, the Conference is also supported by Ettinger from the UK, Caran D’Ache from Switzerland, and the Langham Hotel, London. Additionally, for the first time, Alserkal Avenue, the Dubai-based hub for art and creativity, is providing attendees with a cultural guide to London to encourage exploration around the conference.

Continuum is a unique opportunity for family-owned businesses to meet, enjoy a family business focused program, exchange experiences and debates on global and regional issues, and share visions.
