Tenmou opens registration for MENA Angel Investment Summit 2024

Bahrain’s first Business Angel Investing Company “Tenmou”, has formally announced the commencement of the registration period for the highly anticipated ninth edition of its MENA Angel Investment Summit 2024.

Tenmou will organize this summit on November 24, 2024, at Wyndham Grand Manama, and as part of the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week, in strategic partnership with the Labour Fund “Tamkeen” and “Al-Jabr Mena”. The summit is expected to bring together about 300 participants from Bahrain, the region and the world, and more than 20 startups.

Tenmou has extended an invitation to investors from the MENA region, as well as tech startups seeking to showcase their innovations for potential investment opportunities. Additionally, entrepreneurs, industry specialists, and students are encouraged to participate by registering through the Tenmou website at www.tenmou.me.

The summit will feature presentations from several tech startups, showcasing their projects to a group of investors. These startups will be selected by a specialized panel following the registration process and evaluation of submitted proposals.

The event also provides participants with the opportunity to explore the latest developments and innovations in the technology sector. Additionally, it serves as a significant platform for direct interaction between attendees, including investors and stakeholders, facilitating the exchange of experiences in startup development and exploring potential collaborations within the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the MENA region. This engagement will further enhance growth and expansion opportunities in this promising field.

Suhail Algosaibi, Chairman of Tenmou, commented: “Tenmou’s organization of this event for the ninth consecutive year comes as part of the company’s commitment to supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem, promoting innovation in the region, and developing new investment opportunities that contribute to the growth of startups, thus contributing to building sustainable economic ecosystems in which tech startups play a vital role in creating long-term investments within any promising economic environment.”

Algosaibi expressed his satisfaction with the success and increasing participation the summit has witnessed year after year, and noted that Tenmou aims to attract over 300 participants from various MENA countries, providing them with an opportunity to explore future partnerships that can drive innovation and foster growth in their businesses.

“I would like to thank the sponsors of this event including the Labour Fund “Tamkeen” from the Kingdom of Bahrain and “Al Jabr Mena” from the Sultanate of Oman and all the supporters.”

Algosaibi highlighted the ongoing growth of investment in tech startups, noting Tenmou’s success in this sector, and emphasized the strong investment returns achieved through the successful exit of several startups, with an average return exceeding three times the initial investment within a period of less than three years.

“This summit takes place amidst growing confidence in the technology sector as a key driver of economic growth. Tech startups today are not only competing with major corporations but are also establishing themselves as one of the most influential sectors contributing to the development of modern economies. Many startups have achieved market valuations exceeding one billion dollars, demonstrating the immense potential this sector offers to both investors and innovators.” added Algosaibi.
