The AI-powered platform Welliba was crowned winner of the UNLEASH Startup 2024 Award for innovative HR technology.
Dublin-based Welliba was one of five HR tech startups to pitch for the award in front of a live audience at UNLEASH World – the world’s most influential HR conference and exhibition which runs from 16 to 17 October. The other finalists were CoComply, Alda, TAIWA and Omind.
Welliba provides businesses with an AI-driven solution to enhance employee experience and drive informed HR decisions without the need for surveys by using existing data. As this year’s winner, Welliba receives a €50,000 UNLEASH Sponsorship package, including exhibition opportunities at UNLEASH events and access to the UNLEASH Labs innovation hub.

The winner was selected by a panel of distinguished HR, technology and investment sector leaders: including Kathi Enderes, Senior Vice President and Global Industry Analyst at The Josh Bersin Company; Piyush Hemnani, Principal at Mediahuis Ventures; Ilonka Jankovich, Impact Venture Capitalist at Rubio; Chris Hoyt, President, CareerXroads ; Anita Lettink, Partner, Strategic Management Centre; and Ben Eubanks, Author and Chief Research Officer at Lighthouse Research & Advisory.
Award judge Ilonka Jankovich said: “The pitches were high quality. We saw that everything is around data and AI; every company is talking about it. We have chosen Welliba as the winner because they were the most precise and knowledgeable in their answers. We experienced the enormous amount of depth behind their product.”
Fellow award judge Piyush Hemnani said: “It’s good to see so much innovation happening in future of work and UNLEASH leading this platform, bringing us all together – investors, founders and the industry leaders.”
