Clinton Haswell Joins Du to Spearhead SME Growth

du has appointed Clinton Haswell as Vice President of SME Marketing. Today, du is a leader in providing pioneering telecommunications solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) across the UAE. Haswell’s appointment reflects the company’s mission to further boost SME innovation across the nation.

The UAE’s SME market has long played a pivotal role in driving the nation’s economic growth. In Dubai alone, SMEs account for 95% of all firms and contribute to around 40% of the city’s GDP.

In line with this, du, has, in recent years, orchestrated a powerful SME plan – comprising innovative services, customized packages, and cost-saving propositions – aimed at creating value for the UAE’s fast-growing small business market.

In his role, Clinton will be devising multi-phased SME strategies, developed to support and accommodate the UAE’s thriving SME sector. His responsibilities will include delivering cutting-edge solutions to business customers; driving regional SME targets; and expanding du’s SME portfolio.

Clinton joins du from Vodafone Group in London, where he served as Group Head of CVM – Partner Markets, covering both the Consumer and Enterprise Segments.

Clinton has extensive experience working with international partners across multiple markets including Austria, Switzerland, Chile, Africa, Finland, Taiwan, Singapore and Russia, to name a few.

Prior to that he was Head of SME at Vodafone New Zealand, a position that saw him build customer value propositions and spearhead mobile and fixed-line market growth. During his tenure, the company was ranked the number one mobile network and grew its fixed-line revenue share from 1% to 15% over a period of three years.
