Dubai Chamber Wins Tatweej Award for Wise Leadership

Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry received a gold medal award in Wise Leadership category at the Tatweej Excellence Awards Academy’s 7th award ceremony held under the patronage of H.E. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, UAE Minister of Economy, at Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai on Tuesday evening.

The prestigious award which came in recognition of Dubai Chamber ‘s initiatives, achievements and leadership, was received by H.E. Hisham Al Shirawi, 2nd Vice Chairman, Dubai Chamber , in the presence of prominent local and Arab world diplomats, top company officials, decision makers and business leaders.

H.E. Al Shirawi stated that the award reflects on Dubai Chamber ‘s hard work in leading excellence amongst the emirate’s business community while recognising the Chamber ‘s new strategy of expanding into promising markets of the world which also leads to enhancing the competitiveness of Dubai businesses in the global business arena.

He also stated that as part of its efforts to promote Dubai’s business-friendly environment locally, regionally and globally, the Chamber initiated the new strategy in line with the changes in the global business scenario as the organisation focused on raising Dubai businesses’ attractiveness while stimulating economic growth in the emirate.

The 2nd Vice Chairman of Dubai Chamber further stressed that the award will inspire the Chamber to consolidate its efforts to serve more vigorously the multinational business community of Dubai which comprises of over 200 nationalities and more than 150,000 Chamber membership companies. He also reiterated the organisation’s commitment to providing unconditional facilities to support enhance the business environment of the emirate.

The 7th session of the prestigious award which was organised in close cooperation with the League of Arab states sheds light on distinctive individuals and leading organisations and institutions for their administrative performance and innovation in the field of management and development of family business while operating with high standards of excellence and quality in the UAE, Lebanon, Qatar, Sultanate of Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait and Egypt where they achieved success.
