ColdLight, the company that makes data science simple, announced today that it has become a portfolio company of Intel Capital. Through the relationship, ColdLight plans to sharpen its focus on meeting the demands of its rapidly growing business while accelerating the research and development of the NeuronTM data science platform and corresponding application portfolio. Terms were not disclosed.
“When we look to partner with investors to help accelerate our growth, it is key that they are not just acting as a source of capital,” said Ryan Caplan, Founder and CEO of ColdLight. “Intel Capital was the perfect fit for us not only because of their storied history of backing innovation, but the fact that they share our vision of what’s possible at the crossroads of data and machine learning.”
ColdLight produces Neuron – The Data Science Platform. Neuron uses advanced search and machine learning technology to automate the data discovery process. By automatically seeking out and connecting key information within massive, disparate data sets, Neuron quickly shows business users what information matters and validates its insights, predictions and simulations.
This allows organizations to quickly build powerful business-driven apps that contain trusted historical, current and future views of their business. The outputs directly support professional intuition and deliver more predictable outcomes for an organization.
